Ein Foto ist ein Fragment der Realität. Es enthält Informationen über diese Welt. Fotos, anders als Malerei, werden von den meisten Menschen als authentisch gesehen, und viele vergessen die materiellen Eigenschaften eines Fotos als Medium. In dieser Arbeit untersuche ich diesen Prozess, indem ich Fotos in kleine Stücke zerschneide und diese Fotos als Objekt festhalte. An der gleichen Stelle, an der ein Foto von einem Menschen gemacht wurde, ersetzen nun die Schnipsel die Person. Dadurch entstand ein Prozess vom Materiellen zum Bild, und schließlich zu einer neuen Form von materiellem Prozess.
A photograph is a fragment of reality. It contains information about this world. Unlike with paintings, people tend to believe in the authenticity of photos, and sometimes even ignore the material properties of photos as a medium. In this work, I investigated this process by transforming people into photos, cutting the photos into small pieces of paper, and presenting the original photos as objects. At the same point where the photo of the person was originally taken, these snippets replaced the person whose photo I had taken. This formed a process from material things to pictures and then to another form of material process.
照片是从现实上剥离的碎片，他包含了来自于这个世界的部分信息。相对于绘画，人们更愿意选择相信照片的真实性，某些时候甚至忽略了照片作为载体的物质属性。我在这个作品中尝试这样一个流程，把人物转化为照片，再将照片裁剪成为小块的纸片，将原本的照片作为物体来呈现。与此同时，我将这些带有信息的纸片重新置于它本来被拍摄的位置，代替被拍摄的人物。这样就形成了一个从客观事物到图片，再到另一种形式的客观事物的过程。
